Growth Lead (Marketing and Community)

The Mission
We are hiring for a client which is builing in DeFi https://unimarkets.io/ . They are building at the intersection of DeFi and institutional-grade trading infrastructure. We are looking for a high-bandwidth Marketing and Community Lead who thrives in the "zero-to-one" phase.
This isn't a role for a specialist who wants a narrow lane. This is for a generalist who views "wearing multiple hats" as a competitive advantage. You will be responsible for the narrative, the noise, and the tribe.
The Scope
In a startup, the job description is a baseline, not a ceiling. You will:

• Architect the Narrative: Own the brand voice across all channels (X, Discord, Telegram, Medium). Move beyond "announcements" to build a cohesive market thesis.
• Growth & UA: Design and execute campaigns that drive TVL, volume, and user retention. You should be comfortable with both degens and institutional personas.
• Community Engineering: You aren't just managing a Discord; you are building an ecosystem of advocates. Identify power users and turn them into a decentralized marketing force.
• The NonceLabs Synergy: Coordinate closely with the NonceLabs ecosystem to leverage shared liquidity, technical insights, and cross-promotional opportunities.
• Impromptu Execution: One day you’re drafting a PR strategy; the next, you’re jumpstarting a community fire drill or coordinating a last-minute partnership integration. You ship fast and iterate in real-time.

The Requirements

• Native Crypto Fluency: You understand the nuances of DeFi, liquidity provisioning, and the current meta of the space.
• Full-Stack Marketing: Ability to handle everything from high-level strategy to "getting your hands dirty" with copywriting and meme-culture.
• Data-Informed, Not Data-Driven: You use KPIs to track success, but you rely on your intuition to move faster than the competition.
• High Agency: You don't wait for a Trello card to be assigned. You see a gap in the funnel or a quiet community, and you fix it.
• Resilience: You enjoy the volatility of the startup environment and the "always-on" nature of crypto.
